This picture has a bit of everything. From the pretty bride all the way to the dower groomsman and big bow in the brides attendant's hair.
The bride is wearing the most lovely necklace I've seen in a while for wedding jewelry. A simple chain with a circle. Maybe a ring of a loved one? A gift from the Groom?

But I am going to gush a bit.

I love the wedding gown.

The collar, the "v".

Its one lovely dress.

And the bridesmaids...Perfect tea length dresses.

The lace shrugs with the collars (again!) and the headdresses. 

I love it. LOVE it.

I cut off a bridesmaid. It was a big picture.

Treasures Found!

Oh! We came back successful! Very successful! It was a decisively hot day and towards the end of it, I was walking in a daze.  Thank the Mr for the fantastic finds.

We were walking past a table when the Mr said to hold up and lets look. Glad we did!! We found a treasure trove of wonderful photos!

The cameras back in the day took forever to actually take the picture, so that's why we have the unsmiling people in so many older photos. But this one? I think she (the Maid of Honor) had to be some how wrangled into the wedding or something. Jury's still out

And I am not tickled pink by that head dress. Its rather odd on her head. Its awkward. That is one wedding trend I am happy to see die off.

The Reception Line

The Bride is just beautiful! And I will just say, what a very handsome groom. Looks a bit like Hugh Grant. :)
I am loving the flower accent on the Brides veil.
And the brooch on her collar. Maybe a "something old"?

1920-25 Wedding Party

Some water damage, and its warped.

But the picture and faces are clear.

I love the detail put into the flowers and I just love the brides head dress.

And the Flower Girl's dress is just darling!

To Mr. & Mrs. Schiffer from Mr. & Mrs. Randault

Such a lovely piece of Victorian history!

Mr. and Mrs. Schiffer must be the couple that stood up with the Couple on their special day.

The dress itself is rather plain, as if the bride would have rather focus on the flowers and other small touches, such as the veil and locket at her throat.

Its a well loved photograph, faded as if it was out on display for a long time...chipped a bit as well. But still a beautiful piece

Yuppers. A whole wedding album. I found it on a trip to Wisconsin Dells 6 years ago. Every page filled. Every picture beautifully capturing that special day.

A Second Marriage

I figure this is a second marriage, possibly two widowers, or a widower taking a wife or husband.

We (The Mr. and I) think the second couple could be thier kids.

This used to be on my wall, but its down right now, as it needs repair on the back.

Happy

Sometimes, happiness needs  few words as possible. You let the moment speak for its self.

Alright...

I am going to be honest with you...This picture gives me the creeps. Its the eyes of everyone. Like the pupils of every ones eyes have been colored in. The picture is faded, but the pupils stand out. And it creeps me out.

And now that that is out of the way...

Turn of the Century. Possibly 1900's-1920's.

I think it is a civil service wedding. Its still as glamorus and any wedding portrait I've seen

Missouri Wedding

This is beautiful! I love the architecture of the church
And I especially love that this is a Family wedding picture. Both Brides and Grooms parents are there. With full wedding party.

And a bonus, my dears...August 16th, 1953. The wedding date. Very rare I find a picture with the exact date.

Charmingly Bored.

This picture makes me giggle! At first I see the beauty of a Bride and what is her  lovely Maid of Honor. Then I see the handsome, classic groom. And then....And then I see the Best Man. Do you think he's bored? Or just hates getting his picture taken?
