I've been gone. I am so sorry :(

But I hope the picture I'm giving you makes up for it.
My husband and son gave my a bundle of wedding pictures for my birthday two weeks ago. Among them this picture plus and new wedding certificate!

I am running out of room

The picture is in rough shape. But the happiness shines through

The dress is so simple in the details but elegant. See the bows? My favorite touch.

The pearls set it off quite nicely.

And he, so proud in this uniform. And quite handsome too!

A World War II Double Wedding

1944.

A Sargent and an unknown ranking officer share a wedding day with their beautiful brides.
(PS: I am not happy with my scanner right now...I think I need a bigger one  =/)

1923

May 5th, 1923 to be exact.

Such a pretty picture. The date was written on the frame.

The top and side were cut to fit a frame. Which is a shame because on the side it looked like names were written.

Photo buttons were glued on...Nice, I suppose.

But then it takes away from the picture. Too much to look at.

But the smaller button is the groom's Army photo...WW1

I took the picture out of the cardstock frame.

They had taped it. TAPE. Oh my.

And then I thought the had super glued the back to the cardstock. Turns out, no. Thank goodness.

An Officer and a Bride?

Hear that? Its the sound of me whimpering in the corner when I saw the state of this picture.

That aside, I think the man may have been an officer of some sort? The hat makes me wonder...

The Surprise Revealed

Remember at the beginning of the week when I said I had a wonderful surprise for you? A fantastic new picture? Well here it is. I do hope I have not disappointed you. My Hubby found this and I was floored. Never, in my years of collecting, did I ever come across one.

A Military wedding! Oh my...I almost went giddy with excitement!

Look how handsome he is in his uniform! I'm a sucker for a Military man, I'll let you know.

And her! So beautiful. I am loving the high neck collar of her dress and the floral head piece.

This picture will be proudly displayed on my shelf along with many others that capture my heart.
